The Tipping Point

Please, once again, explain to me where this headline is accurate, Bank Loses.

One bank loses big last year because of one builder, yet the article headline states how this represents our entire banking and real estate industries.

I am reading a book called “The Tipping Point” and I believe the book to be a good source for inspiration, especially regarding Northwest Arkansas.

However, the same principles that apply to the positives regarding “The Tipping Point”, also can become negatives. Basically, our attitudes and feeling are extremely contagious. And a combination of small factors can cause something to reach its tipping point. And then it all happens at once.

Northwest Arkansas is still growing. Investors from all over the country are still looking for investments throughout this area. Why? Because of low unemployment, job growth, universities, fortune 500 companies, and so on. But the principles of this book will show, that these negative influences and opinions, could cause a tipping point in Northwest Arkansas, one in which the market really is as gloomy as the media likes to report.

I would like to see it tip the other way. I’d like to believe that NWA hasn’t reached its true tipping point, the one that will push us into another category. One of establishment and growth. One as a world destination, both economic and for tourism. One in which WalMart isn’t our only identity. And I believe were close.

Now you see why you can read our blogs, listen to our podcasts, and hear us on the radio. We’re trying to be a small piece of NWA Arkansas that helps create a “Tipping Point” accelerating a qulaity of life matched by few.
