Drivers in Rogers get some much needed traffic relief

What is one of the top complaints about NWA? Traffic.

If you try to get anywhere in Northwest Arkansas you feel the pain of traffic. I don’t think there is anywhere you feel more pain however than trying to navigate to Pinnacle Hills Promenade. The 540 exit is horrendous and has been since way before the Promenade even broke ground. There are huge changes coming to that intersection but in my opinion that should have been taken care of before now.

Rogers at least was able to open a new five lane road that relieves some of the traffic going to the Promenade. They connected 45th street up with 40th street and widened it to five lanes. For reference it goes from the stoplight on New Hope near Home Depot to the stoplight on Walnut (71B) next to Chick fil-a, Arby’s and Liberty Bank.

Nobody seems to use the road yet so it is a very fast alternate. There are more than rumors saying that big names such as Target, Red Lobster, Harps, and Wal-Mart are looking at putting new locations on this road.

So everyone reading this stay off 540 and away from the mess of construction if you are going from Walnut to the Promenade or vise versa.

Don\'t get stuck
