With the cost of gas and oil shooting ever higher people are wondering what happened to their stimulus checks. Now everyone close to me including me already recieved a check. Most by direct deposit but one for sure by check.

One of the emails I keep getting is “why don’t I have mine?” and I really don’t know. If you know where these checks are please leave a comment at the bottom of this post. Don’t worry we never sell your email address and it doesn’t get posted publicly.

Here are a few things I do know about the stimulus money. First it is based on a fairly complex equation whether or not you will get one and how much it will be. For example if you were a full time student but worked full time you only get a half share. If you made at least $3000 you should get a half share as well. Now if you worked all year and meet income requirements you should recieve a full share of the stimulus check. This is where it gets complicated though.

I have been told that if you owe anything that can be attached to your taxes they will not send you a check. This includes current or back taxes that you owe as well as leins on your taxes. I have also been told that if the state has a hold from child support you may not recieve one as the check may go to that. I have also been told that we are going to be taken over by green men from another galaxy so I guess we could take all of this with a grain of salt.

Check on irs.gov and see if/when you will get a check if you haven’t gotten one yet. Make sure when you do get one, if you aren’t going to save it, try to buy USA made goods. After all we are trying to stimulate our economy not that of the World.
